she is like me

After I told Sessy “today is the first day of fall”, she opened the front door and ran off into the darkness. Â
Yes, she is my daughter.
As for little man, he couldn’t figure out why the females in his family were mourning the change of season.
So he did what any little boy would do and started [...]

I see myself

Yesterday, after dropping Sass off at her riding lesson, I ran a few errands.  When I returned I sat and watched her while she rode a horse named Honey Girl.  Sass didn’t know I was back.  I love moments like these when I can watch her and wonder what she is thinking. Â
Sass sat on her horse, she [...]

Griswold Family Bear Lake Trip

This barn has had a smiley face on it since I was nine years old. I love it because it means you are almost to Bear Lake.

We don’t take the scenic route to Bear Lake.  Nope, that scenic route is much too beautiful.  Especially the part when you reach the top of the canyon and the bright turquoise lake is revealed in all it’s [...]

Horses and watermelon

You wanna know what frustrates me?  SEEDLESS WATERMELON. It’s frustrating as Hell. If Hell is a frustrating place, and I have been told it is, then seedless watermelon is FRUSTRATING AS HELL! I don’t think seedless watermelon should be called seedless, it should be called colorless seeded watermelon.  Or is that not politically correct? Never mind the politics I am in no mood to involve [...]

Still Gloating…

Although I may have you believing I spend all my mornings bundled up at the ice rink, I do have some mornings off. Those are the mornings I spend at the tennis court with Sessy.  My heart always fills up with pride when I witness my children doing something they enjoy.  While I watch Sessy on the court I [...]

Pickled pigs

These little Teva shoes have made my son’s feet reek.  His piggy vinaigrettes have stunk up my car and my house.  I have put these shoes in the dish washer and let them sit in a bucket of Tide.  Once they have successfully been fumigated, he only needs to wear these salty little sandals for a few hours before they start [...]

Ish

A couple of weeks ago I took my son to Pet Smart to get a little container with a handle for his pet ants. Yes, ants.  While we were there he couldn’t take is eyes off the tiny cups filled with betta fish.  Being the sucker I am, we came home with a fish, some food, water conditioner, a live plant, [...]

High School Musical III

There has been great excitement here at the Evanzstox household.  Great Excitement.

Just when being a young American girl couldn’t get any better for my two daughters, Zac Efron decided to drive down my Mother’s street this morning.  If you didn’t hear their shrills across the land consider yourselves lucky.
Apparently Disney is filming part of High School Musical [...]

oOOP! oOOP! oooOOPS!

Conversation between my three spawn as they opened the door to go outside:
Sessy: (screeching gasp) What the?
Sas: What?
Sessy: How did Dad get all these poops out here?
Little Man: OOps, OOPS, OOPS!
Sas: WHAT ARE THOSE?
Sessy: Oh my gosh, WHAT DID GUCCI EAT?
Little Man: OOps, OOPS, OOPS!
Sas: MOOOOMMM! Come look at the grass!
Little man: OOPS! MOMMA! OOPS! [...]

Terrible Twos

It is impossible to keep my son on the ground ever since he learned how to fly. Can’t believe I thought he was difficult to keep in the house when he started to walk.
