Heart Throb

Yesterday I checked my girls out of school early to go see High School Musical III. Both of my girls were so excited they could barely contain themselves. Their excitement was fueled by the fact that they were going to see Troy Bolton (Zac Efron) on the big screen, which as Sessy described it was going to be “most best because Zac’s face is going to fill the whole screen and then we can kiss him”. The kiss him part disgusted my other daughter but I’m pretty sure she is now in agreement. Especially since her glory moment when the film started and Zac’s sweaty mug filled the screen, causing her to break out into a joyful high-pitched yet soft and tender hal le lu jah. And internet, I must add, I totally get it. I do. I wasn’t a fan of Mr. Efron before, but boy do I get it now. Hallelujah is right sister.
It was only a few months ago when Disney was here filming HSM3. They filmed the finale on my wedding anniversary. As Hubby and I were on our way out to paint the town red we drove past a wide open field with kids in graduation robes. A few of them had familiar faces, and once we realized it was the starring cast members from HSM, hubby and I twirled the car around and headed back home to get the children and our sitter.
We made it back in time to watch them film. Trying to be discreet, we walked along a trash filled meadow that runs between a cemetery and the football field where they were filming. Our cautious efforts were in vain because our curiosity drove us to get a little too close. Once security spotted us we were chased. It was one of my proudest moments. There I was, with my two young girls and their baby sitter on the run from the law. All in the name of love, which by current definition is Zac Efron.
While we were in pursuit of the car where hubby was awaiting us and video taping our brave get-away. I cursed myself for wearing the wrong shoes for such a treacherous exhibition and then severely twisted my ankle, fell into an ant hill, and wet my pants. Thanks to my many years spent as a Billy Idol groupie I was able to keep the children alive and snap a few shots.

Tonight, in the name of love, we here at the Exanzstox compound will be making iron-on Zac Efron photos and fusing them to our pillows. Oh yes! There will be sweet dreams tonight!
