It’s the most wonderful time of the year!

I love summer, I live for it. After the long grim winter we had this year, I honestly thought we may never make it to July. But we did and here we are baskin’ in the glory of it all.
The fourth of July is my favorite holiday and for that it should be yours too. You can always tell when it’s the first part of July because men start strutting like they are Doc Holliady, ready to trigger their BIC lighters to light a grill or sparkler at a moments notice.

Babies and pets go running for their lives, or back into the house,

to hide behind windows while the fireworks blast off.

There are snow cone machines, with artificially flavored corn syrup toppings to toxify your taste buds.

and there are sulking little girls in breeches, who want their daddy to buy them their own pony, but that won’t be happening any time soon, so they make do and trot around on their stick horses.

what the?

Alright, perhaps that last part isn’t a sign of July, but it should be. Can you imagine? Just think of the fun we would all have trotting on stick horses and running the town amuck? I wonder if I could find a stick horse with cup holders and one that is swim suit friendly. I would name my stick horse Amber Waves of Grain.
