Keeping the holiday cards out a little longer.
We still have a ribbon swag of holiday cards on display in our house. These cards are from family, friends, and some friendly people who have families, many a few of whom we don’t know very well. Those friendly people have kept us motivated to keep the card display up because within a moment’s notice we have all the info we need - names, faces, and in some cases their children’s and pet’s names.
A friend of mine was married last summer and I was unable to remember her last name, luckily her new married name was on her holiday card. We have another friend who has been married 4 times and it has been miserable trying to remember which husband she is currently with. Good thing we have the card display! While Travis was taking the garbage out he noticed a neighbor doing the same. Trav quickly ran in and looked at her holiday card to get her name. What would we do with out the card display? We may need to keep it up throughout the year. So be careful what you assume when you are over and see your card on display, it may not be that we adore you, but rather we can’t remember your name, or what you look like, or who you are married to, or if you have a new baby or a really ugly puppy.
