What is More Entertaining than Interior Design??

I had a real “edge of your seat” post for my blog discussing Global Influences on Interior Design, but was distracted while watching my neighbor Claude do his daily march around his yard looking for Gucci (my 3lb Yorkie) links. He was very intent in his search. No leaf went unturned. Desperately I wished there was a hose in my computer room so I could spray him down completely.

Oh Nooooooo!Haven’t you ever wanted to hose someone? I mean literally. I could list a few family members (not my family of course) who could get a good long hosing from me.

Alright, enough with the hose, what I really want to share with you is this…but first before I do, a word from the “disclaimer”, the side of me who is shaking in her boots.

Disclaimer: If…Holly mother of chocolate, Claude, my real life neighbor ever read this blog, I WOULD DIE! First of laughter, because that is my immediate response, but then in fear. And if you are in fact reading this, Claude, and if I still live next to you when you do – I am really sorry. However if we are no longer neighbors, Gucci Pucci misses her favorite place to leave her little smokey’s.

So, Travis and I were out on our front lawn talking about the kite Sas left caught in Claude’s tree when out of the darkness came Claude. He was raking leaves and bringing the garbage can down to collect them in. We live on a steep slope, and while he was holding the rake in one hand, and dragging the can in the other he tripped. I mean a total face plant. His rake went flying and the garbage can rolled down the hill. Both Travis and I looked the other way, to pretend we didn’t see the guy splat and roll down the hill (we were shaking, and silently laughing hysterically).  I could see him looking at us, he wondered if we saw him. Travis and he already had “the talk” about the patio poop presents, so Claude knew if we saw this fall it would earn a point for our team.

Karma Claude, karma.
