Poor Little Pup

Have you ever felt two passionate emotions at once? I think mothers probably experience this all the time. Like when my oldest daughter Sas threw a ball at Sessy’s head (Sessy was only 2 weeks old), Sessy, my middle child, was completely fine and even unfazed. I felt complete anger/rage at Sas, and at the same time complete and total relief, the kind when joy and gratitude come in and make you want to celebrate.

our little Gucci PucciSo, Travis and I are watching a movie in bed. Neither of us realize Gucci is snuggled up with us. When the movie is over Travis fluffs his pillows, and I grab the blankets to waff his popcorn crumbs off. As the blankets ripple into the air, Gucci shoots across the room and hits the corner ceiling. Then, just like in cartoons, she slowly slides down the wall, and miraculously into her doggy bed. I felt complete and total terror, and at the same time 100% gut busting humor.

Gucci was fine; she didn’t even seem to mind being shot across the room like a rocket. Of course this prompted conversation like; I wonder how far I could chuck Gucci. . .do you think we could toss her over the house? How about the block? What about flinging her from a sling shot? We pondered this late into the night.

Disclaimer: we would NEVER EVER do anything to hurt our little “cuddle muffin Gucci Pucci”. She is the sweetest little pup. Just ask our neighbor Claude.

haha. When our dog Buster was around 8 months old our son was holding him in our front seat with the window down. Buster jumped out the front passenger window while the car was moving. Buster rolled on the ground and let out a little yiepp. I stopped the car, got out and looked at him… I thought he was going to be dead for sure. He limped over to me looking a little beaten up, with in a few hours he was just fine. Its amazing how tough those little buggers are.
